We help anyone who needs help. Anyone who has too low of an income, single parents, churches that have special needs such as kitchens, homeless outreaches, etc. We also help people and communities who have experienced catastrophes such as fires, floods, special-need family members, victims of violent acts, and any child who needs some type of help.
We personally take anyone shopping if they are in need of clothes, holiday gifts, medical attention, or whatever the occasion may be. If they are embarrassed and just need the money to pay bills, we will take care of that too. It is a shame, as we all know, that some people try to take advantage of gifts so we may ask for a personal interview to determine how and what we will help with.
It is completely discreet. For tax purposes, the only information we will need in writing is a signature stating that the funding was received as a means of proof to my board of directors. Other than that, we do not need to know where the funds were spent.
Keep in mind, we sometimes will walk down the street and see a family who seems to be in need and we will just walk up and hand them an undisclosed amount of money. To help us determine when we should do this, we usually listen to what their kids say while in a store or while walking around. We are also guilty of riding public transportation and doing the same. We are not prejudice! We don't care if it is a man, woman, Christian, Muslim, gay or straight; it doesn't matter. A person-in-need is a person in need and we will help out as much as we can.
We will have an email account set up for sponsorship so if you know of a family in need you can drop us a line. Please keep in mind our company is brand new. We started Icon 74 Industries LLC. in October 2008; therefore, we are not running at 100% productivity as of yet. We will eventually have a sense of the amount of money we have available to give away. As of right now, our total funding has been committed and if you want to help - we need jobs! We feel it is our responsibility to give back to the community and not the responsibility of our clients. Donations are accepted and a receipt will be provided for tax purposes.
